Mapping Contemporary Art in the Heritage Experience conference

At the Mapping Contemporary Art in the Heritage Experience conference, 29-30 July at the University of Newcastle, Bluecoat's Artistic Director, Bryan Biggs is giving a paper titled ‘Maritime mercantile echoes in Bluecoat’s arts programme’, which will focus on artists that the arts centre has worked with over several decades who have interrogated Liverpool's colonial past, including the transatlantic slave trade, and explored it as a 'port of dreams'.
