Liberty Buildings
Following prompting by Charles Reilly, head of University of Liverpool's School of Architecture, to support Bluecoat, the soap magnate (and future Lord Leverhulme), William Lever, bought the Bluecoat building, renaming it Liberty Buildings, a reflection of his recent victory in a libel action against the Daily Mail, who paid substatial damages.
