Andrew Robarts, Bluecoat courtyard installation

Second Wave was a group sculpture exhibition by Steve Johnson, Nicole Polonsky, John Plowman and Andrew Robarts. Robarts, an artist working in Manchester, was commissioned to create works in Bluecoat's front courtyard that related to the building's architecture and its charity school origins, supported by profits from the Transatlantic slave trade. His work included these cast concrete feet shacked to the railings.
