Bluecoat 300: Charity, Philanthropy and the Black Atlantic flyer
This flyer is from a two-day event in November 2017, organised as part of Bluecoat's 300th anniversary, in collaboration with the International Slavery Museum and several local and North West universities. It focused on Bluecoat's slavery-related origins, Liverpool's growth as a slave port, the wider context of the global slave trade and its ongoing legacies, including its interrogation by contemporary artists. Events took place at Bluecoat and the Albert Dock and also involved a walking tour of Liverpool sites that resonated with the port's Transatlantic slavery history.
